    Petrobras charters Aker Wayfarer for SESV contract

    AKOFS Offshore AS has signed a contract with Petrobras for its SESV (subsea equipment support vessel) Aker Wayfarer. The duration of the contract is approximately 4 years, and the services will commence in the first half of 2023. AKOFS Offshore will be performing the operations jointly with its partners Bravante for marine services and Oceaneering for ROV services, the exact same structure used for their other recently awarded vessel Skandi Santos.

    Maersk group advances to the acquisition of South berth Of the Atlântico Sul Shipyard

    APM Terminals, company owned by the Maersk group, presented this Tuesday 26/07 a R$ 455 million bid for the acquisition of an area adjacent to the South berth of the Atlântico Sul Shipyard (EAS) in Suape, Pernambuco. The auction took place throughout a judicial recovery by EAS, therefore the sale still needs to be validated by the Ipojuca Court. The closing of the transaction is also subject to regulatory approvals and licenses to install and operate equipment at EAS. Nevertheless, operations are expected to start by 2025. The shipyard´s management considers the arrival of this new player an important landmark for the state of Pernambuco, since it will lead to the implementation of new weekly and long range routes to Asia and Europe.

    Total E&P extends contracts with Siem sister vessels

    Total E&P do Brasil has declared the first of two options for the PSVs 4500 Siem Giant and Siem Atlas. The sister ships, which have been working for Total since 2017, are now firm until June 2023. The French oil major has two other vessels as part of their fleet supporting the offshore operation in Lapa field which are owned by CBO, namely CBO Endeavour and CBO Energy. Earlier this year, Total granted a one well extension for the drill ship Valaris DS-15. The option well which was in direct continuation of the firm program had an estimate of 100 days and is scheduled to end in August 2022.

    Keppel with 2 potential awards for FPSOs

    Keppel is in the virtue of two potential awards for two new pre-salt production units (FPSOs) for Petrobras. The Brazilian state oil company released public tenders on April 2021 and Keppel / Brasfels presented the offers. Platforms P-80 and P-82 shall become the largest production platforms operated in Brazil when finalized, with a capacity of 225.000 barrels per day. The estimated cost of the assets may reach close to USD 5.9 billion offered in total, delivered as from 2026 for Buzios. Negotiations for one unit started.
