    Green light to Brava Energia

    Brava Energia, established from the merger of 3R Petroleum and Enauta, has announced that it has received the “green light” from IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of the Environment) for the license to commence operations of the FPSO Atlanta. The final approval from ANP (National Oil Agency) is now pending to start the activities.

    The FPSO will be installed in the Atlanta field, located in the Santos Basin, with a processing capacity of up to 50,000 boed and 12.4 mmscfd. The company also reported a production of 56,600 boed in August, reflecting a 3.1% increase compared to the previous month.

    New agreement for FPSO

    SBM Offshore has announced the acquisition of the remaining stake in MISC Group’s FPSO Espírito Santo. With this purchase, SBM will now hold 100% of the shares related to the vessel’s operations.

    Currently, the FPSO is chartered to Shell and operates in the Parque das Conchas field in the Campos Basin, with a production capacity of approximately 100,000 boed 1.42 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.

    Petrobras has just released the long-awaited OSRV New Building tender! An opportunity for up to 10 PSV/OSRV 5,000t dwt vessels to be awarded 8, 10 or 12 years with up to 6 vessels per bidder, with the deadline currently set for September 30th.

    OSRV bid results are out! This tender follows Petrobras’ attempt to recover from the previous opportunity, where nearly half of the bidders faced disqualification due to invalid fuel consumption tables, resulting in the hire of just one vessel from Grupo Bravante.

    In this new round, Bravante has presented competitive rates, signaling their determination to secure the positions in all lots, while Bram Offshore maintained their previous rates, except for additional vessels brought from abroad, which came in at higher rates. The market continues to show an upward trend and Bravante & Bram the duo leading this category.

    MSC: an incredible milestone

    A remarkable achievement for Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC): the European liner giant specialized in containers has reached the milestone of acquiring 383 second-hand vessels over the past four years. MSC´s fleet totals in excess of 6 million TEU with a 20% market share and has a massive newbuilding orderbook of 130 ships which will boost the fleet by na additional 1,8 million slots in the coming years.

    Welcome, Brava

    The mystery has been solved: 3R Petroleum and Enauta have announced the name of the new company resulting from their merger: Brava Energia. In Portuguese, the term “brava” is an adjective that connotes courage.

    The merger discussions began in May this year with the final details now being disclosed. The new company will be led by Décio Oddone, who previously headed Enauta, as CEO, and will have a production portfolio of approximately 100.000 boed.
