Camorim has welcomed its newest MPSV, the SEALINK 178, to Rio de Janeiro, this month. The vessel left Malaysia in December and is set to begin a four-year contract with Petrobras, operating as a PSV 4500. Contract operations are expected to start in April 2025.
Built in China, the SEALINK 178 features a DP-2 dynamic positioning system, measuring 84.4 meters in length with a 22-meter beam. The vessel’s arrival reinforces Camorim’s strong momentum. In recent months, the company has celebrated the delivery of the ASD tugs C-Fênix, C-Falcão, and C-Albatroz, with two more azimuthing units, C-Condor and C-Harpia, set to join the fleet soon.
The SEALINK 178 is the third offshore vessel Camorim has secured for Petrobras in less than a year, following the Aegis and Sayan Polaris. Currently operating over 150 vessels in Brazil (including PSVs, AHTSs, barges, launches, floating docks, and LHs). Camorim continues to expand its presence in the market.

- Bram extended three contracts with Petrobras until the end of Q2 2025, started a PSV contract and is mobilizing several vessels that will soon be on hire.
- The AHTS market is booming and CBO is dominating the spot market for Oil Companies with its Terra Brasilis series.
- Camorim is ready to expand its strong presence in port support to the offshore sector as well. In addition to starting the Aegis contract and mobilizing the S178, they’re aiming to bring more vessels by taking advantage of their vast tonnage.

Camorim: exciting news
Camorim has officially started a four-year contract with Petrobras for the LH C-Salvador, supporting platform operations in the Campos Basin. But this isn’t the only reason for celebration.
The company also marked the start of another four-year contract with Petrobras for the OSRV Aegis. Additionally, Camorim recently held the naming ceremony for the C-Albatroz, the third in a series of five vessels being delivered by Detroit Brasil shipyard. The C-Fênix and C-Falcão are already in operation, with the remaining two, C-Condor and C-Harpia, expected later this semester. -
Camorim and C-Falcão
Camorim launched ASD tug C-Falcão, built by Detroit Brasil in Itajaí, Santa Catarina. C-Falcão is a sister ship to C-Fênix, delivered last week: 70 tons of bollard pull, 24.35 meters in length and 11 meters of beam.
C-FÊNIX was delivered last week in Rio de Janeiro, on the occasion of the Camorim year end celebration in Marina da Glória where WSB Advisors had the honor to visit and watch the christening by Lalesca Costa. These deliveries are part of five ASD tugs ordered. Next on the line: C-Albatroz, C-Condor and C-Harpia.
Camorim fleet currently exceeds 140 vessels, including PSVs, AHTSs, barges, launches, floating docks, and LHs. -
Camorim cocktail party 2024
Our shipbroking team was invited by Camorim to attend their end-of-year cocktail party at Marina da Glória, Rio de Janeiro. The event also served as a celebration of the delivery of the company’s newest acquisition: the C Fênix.
C Fênix (Source: Camorim) The ASD tug was built in Itajaí and is the first of five vessels of this type to be delivered by the DETROIT BRASIL shipyard. This type of vessel stands out for its improved maneuverability, reduced costs, lower risk of damage, and its hydrodynamic hull. The C Fênix has 70 tons of Bollard Pull, a length of 24.35 meters and 11 meters beam.

Up to 21 PSV’s tender: 11 confirmed
Petrobras released the partial homologation of the “Up to 21 PSVs” tender, as follopetrobws:
11 vessels are confirmed: Bram Búzios, Allie Chouest and Roger White, from Bram; Batuíra e Prion, from Wilson, Sons; Starnav Scorpius, from Starnav; Sealink 178, from Camorim, Posidonia Lion, from Posidonia, Wm Pacific, from Marlim (Bravante Group), e Standard Defender, from Galáxia and a new vessel, Jack Edwards, from Bram, replacing Clarence Triche. Jack Edwards and Allie Chouest have already arrived in Brazil.
