    What has changed?

    – Petrobras has extended the deadline for opportunity no. 7004460732, which refers to the potential charter of up to three SOVs. The new submission deadline is August 15th, 2025.

    – Petrobras has extended the deadline for opportunity no. 7004478234, which refers to the potential charter of up to six SOVs. The new submission deadline is August 28th, 2025.

    – Petrobras has extended the deadline for opportunity no. 7004370497, which refers to the potential charter of SDSVs. The new submission deadline is September 5th, 2025.

    – Petrobras has extended the deadline for opportunity no. 7004431928, which refers to the potential charter of up to six PSVs under the SEP program. The new submission deadline is August 15th, 2025.

    What else happening:

    – DOF secured two firm 4-year RSV contracts with Petrobras, adding Skandi Carla and Geoholm to its Brazilian fleet, with both vessels scheduled to begin operations in December 2025.

  • Three New Offshore Vessel Charter Contracts

    Three New Offshore Vessel Charter Contracts

    This week began with strong momentum in the offshore support vessel market, as three new charter contracts were officially announced.

    Camorim has signed a BRL 1.2 billion agreement with Petrobras to deploy the liftboats Jin Hua 01 and Jin Hua 02 in partnership with OOS International B.V.

    These vessels will support maintenance and readiness campaigns for fixed platforms in the Sergipe-Alagoas and Rio Grande do Norte-Ceará basins. The contract will run for three years, with the official start date yet to be confirmed.

    Solstad has secured a four-year charter with Petrobras for the construction support vessel Normand Commander with Petrobras, with operations expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. The deal is valued at approximately USD 108 million, excluding ROV services.

    Also on Monday, DOF announced two new four-year contracts, also with Petrobras, for the AHTS vessels Skandi Fluminense and Skandi Lifter. These awards stem from the same tender processes that recently secured long-term contracts for Skandi Logger, Skandi Iguaçu, Skandi Angra, Skandi Paraty and Skandi Urca.

    DOF and Petrobras

    DOF has confirmed the award of two new long-term contracts by Petrobras, together valued at over USD 275 million, surpassing BRL 1 billion at current exchange rates.

    The AHTS Skandi Logger has secured a four-year charter, joining the ranks of other DOF vessels recently contracted by Petrobras, including the Skandi Iguaçu, Skandi Angra, Skandi Paraty, and Urca. Operations are expected to begin in February 2026.

    Meanwhile, the RSV Skandi Achiever was also awarded by Petrobras a four-year contract, with offshore activities scheduled to start in December 2025. The agreement includes the deployment of two WROVs and a subsea crane, reinforcing the vessel’s advanced subsea intervention capabilities.

    DOF Secures New SURF Campaign in Brazil and Extends Skandi Salvador Charter

    DOF has secured a new contract for its Diving Support Vessel (DSV) Skandi Achiever in Brazil, supporting an offshore service and survey scope tied to a SURF project. Operations are expected to begin in early May and will span three campaigns throughout 2025.

    In addition, the charter and services agreement for the MPSV Skandi Salvador with Subsea7 also related to SURF activities in Brazil, has been extended through July 2025. The deal includes options for further extensions.

    DOF concludes acquisition of Maersk Supply Service

    DOF Group has announced the completion of its acquisition of Maersk Supply Service, and the company will now be known as DOF Denmark. The transaction is valued at approximately $1.1 billion, consisting of a mix of cash and shares, allowing DOF to expand its fleet to 78 OSVs. It’s important to note that Maersk’s operations in Brazil are not included in this transaction, nor are Maersk Offshore Wind operations involved in the deal.

    “DOF name and brand remain, MSS fades away. Makes sense. A.P. Moller Holding has evolved to become an industrial investor leveraging from the position its A.P. Moller – Maersk different operating companies built throughout decades. DOF on the other hand is the right vehicle to raise the equity and debt facility to enable the transaction. A.P.Moller to nominate two additional members to the board (vice-chairman and member of the remuneration committee) and the chairman of the nomination committee. Complex deal. Nice move.     DOF Group announced charter contracts for AHTSs Skandi Jupiter and Skandi Mercury chartered to Petrobras three-years firm contracts with options, commencement 2nd half 2025. Both vessels sail under Norwegian flag and currently operate in the North Sea.

    Additionally, DOF has signed MPSV Skandi Salvador, currently employed by Petrobras in the Libra Field. According to DOF the vessel has been contracted to support ‘1st level EPCI-SURF’ operations. The specific contracting company was not disclosed by DOF but our market intel team informed that Subsea7 is the charterer.

    DOF Group to acquire Maersk Supply Service

    DOF and A.P. Moller Holding have sealed an agreement to imbed Maersk Supply Service into DOF in a mix of cash and shares in the company, consideration of approximately US$ 1,1 billion and A.P. Moller Holding to underwrite 25% of the share capital in DOF.

    The companies hope to complete the details of the operation until later this year, to an expanded portfolio of 78 offshore support vessels, CSVs and AHTSs as highlights.

    For specific reasons the Brazilian affiliated companies of Maersk Supply Service are in principle not part of the deal.

    A.P. Moller Holding has segregated as announced the offshore wind division as otherwise developed from within Maersk Supply Service (MSS) already launching the Maersk Wind business as a stand alone.

    DOF announces PLSV contract with Petrobras for Skandi Vitoria

    Exciting News! DOF has secured a major contract with Petrobras for the pipelay support vessel (PLSV) Skandi Vitória. This 3-year firm plus option contract starts in 2025. Proudly Brazilian-built and flagged, Skandi Vitória is owned by DOFCON, a 50/50 joint venture between DOF Subsea and TechnipFMC.

    Petrobras releses partial result of the AHTS-R tender

    Petrobras released another partial result of the AHTS-R tender and the appeal deadline for those disqualified was announced.

    The Norskan vessels (DOF), already qualified, were awarded. Asso Trentuno, from Asso Marítima, is now in due diligence and only needs to evaluate the proposals for lot F2 to complete the tender.

    Contract extension for DOF

    Petrobras has awarded DOF a contract extension for AHTS Skandi Amazonas. The Norwegian vessel owner announced that the vessel shall remain in operation for the Brazilian national oil company until March 2023. The 21000bhp AHTS, built 2011, is currently flying Brazilian flag and has a 324 ton bollard pull capacity.

    Petrobras extends contracts with DOF´s RSVs

    RSVs Skandi Chieftain and Skandi Olympia have been granted an extension by Petrobras until the end of 2022 while RSV Skandi Commander is now firm until November 2022. As previously reported in our weekly market update, the three vessels were offered in Petrobras’ RSV tender earlier this year. DOF has confirmed that Skandi Chieftain and Skandi Olympia have been awarded and will commence their contract in direct continuation of present charter. On the other hand, Skandi Commander will be deployed in the PIDF project until August 2023, before starting her new contract with Petrobras which will combine ROV and UAV services. The PIDF scope of work comprises the inspection of flexible pipelines, risers and subsea equipment in the Campos Basin, Santos Basin and Espírito Santo Basin.
