PRIO started production at well ODP5 (“F23P3”) in the Frade field, Campos Basin. At first, the Brazilian independent produces 8,000 boed at the site, bypassing the 100,000 boed total mark. In June, PRIO produced 96,000 boed, 57% of which came from the Frade field.

The start of production however, was scheduled for a year from now. The Frade field is located approximately 118 km off the north coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, in water depths between 1,050 and 1,300 meters.
