Siem Helix and Siem Helix 2: new contracts

Helix Energy Solutions Group has signed the charter contracts with Petrobras for offshore units Siem Helix 1 and Siem Helix 2. The units remain under marine management of Siem / Sea1. Valued at approximately $786 million, contracts span three years with three years option.

As Helix worked to secure these bids over the past year, Siem ensured continuity of their role as the marine manager for both units.

“These contracts pertain to offshore units rather than traditional marine contracts. As such, the Siem Helix 1 and 2 are not subject to circularization or other common procedures associated with vessel charters, reflecting the specialized and advanced nature of rigless operations driven by Petrobras distinct operational experience”, reveals Raphael Montes, Proposals Manager at WSB Advisors.
